Coast & Go operates out of Trent Rd in Ocracoke village, a short walk from Silver Lake Harbor, offering local transportation for getting around the island. The office keeps consistent hours seven days a week, 8:30am to 5:30pm, which covers most of the day for visitors arriving on the morning ferry or making plans ahead of an afternoon crossing.
Getting to Ocracoke at all takes some doing — the free NC ferry from Hatteras village runs about an hour, and the toll ferries from Cedar Island and Swan Quarter each take roughly 2.25 hours from the mainland. There's no bridge or road connection, so once visitors arrive, moving around becomes its own small logistics problem: the village clusters tightly around the harbor, but the beach access ramps, the pony pen, and the rest of the roughly 13-mile island run north along NC-12 through National Park Service land. Emailed about renting an ebike and response tike was excellent. Put me in for a reservation. Called when I got off the ferry and they picked me up in a golf cart! Such a nice pleasant interaction. Also when I dropped the e bike off they drove me back to the ferry. The bike I got was in excellent condition and I had a fun amazing time riding around. Thanks so much Coast and Go

The bikes were electric which was great. The downside was the service. We had to call for someone to unlock the door to rent the bikes and the same on the return but was never told that. Also the first bike we received the chain broke immediately. If the worker has gotten the bikes ready to go prior to us getting there this problem would’ve been avoided. The second bikes were good after the fact though. Also one of the only places on the beach that has ebikes

Spent an afternoon on the island and needed one bike. They even dropped it as the passenger ferry for us as we got off. If we ever visit again I’ll rent from this crew for sure.

It was a very relaxed and enjoyable place to do business with. The carts worked as promised and the price was very competitive.
