We had a wonderful time and the hotel was awesome. We came down for the weekend from Hampton Roads for the fireworks which were also awesome! We had an amazing dinner at 1587 on the outside terrace and it was perfect for not only dinner but also the fireworks! Hotel was awesome and so close to all that wished to do in downtown Manteo. It was awesome to also use the pool at the resort down the road! We had an awesome time!

This has become my husband’s and I favorite place for a quick get away to just chill and relax. Small fishing town atmosphere with little shops, direct water front, for strolling along the water. Quaint little shops right across the street with a great wine shop we go to every time we are there. Fun outdoor amphitheater within walking distance of the bed and breakfast. Speaking of food great restaurant on site with free breakfast included with wine and cheese in the afternoon-Super touch btw. Great place to be highly recommend 😍

Tranquil House Inn is aptly named. Our room was a quiet retreat, spotless, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The afternoon wine and cheese social was lovely and later dinner at the restaurant delicious. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful. Checking in (and out) was seamless with detailed text instructions that allowed freedom to come in our own timing. Weather was nice and we enjoyed sitting outside on the deck overlooking the harbor and later walking the boardwalk along the water. Without hesitation I give Tranquil Inn 10 stars!

We chose the Tranquil House Inn for our anniversary trip. We were not disappointed. From the moment we stepped inside we felt welcomed. Every staff member was polite courteous and so helpful with places to eat as well as the amenities granted to us during our stay. Not only did we have an amazing view of the water but it’s was so peaceful. The name of this place is so befitting. So many places to eat and shop within walking distance. This was our most tranquil vacation in our 21 years together. Thank you all for such an amazing stay. - The Harris’s

The Tranquil House Inn was a phenomenal spot to stay, the service was amazing, everyone was extremely pleasant, and the room was really nice. The Inn restaurant 1587 had some of the best food and while really busy during dinner the staff didn't miss a beat and the service was excellent. Me and my girlfriend never really left the island as the Inn was situated in the middle of downtown and everything around was just a short walk away. If you're looking for a nice quiet OBX vacation without all of the traffic and tourism during the peak season this is the place.
