Great place to stay with only a short walk to the beach. Chose this hotel because it had good reviews and glad we did! The room and facilities were nicely updated, very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay here again. They have some really neat amenities, many that you will not find at other hotels like the games, personal saunas, each floor has a filtered water and ice machine as well which is really convenient. Had a great stay! Breakfast options are limited but adequate - cereal, yogurt instant oatmeal and grits, fresh fruit and some other basics, but no waffles or proteins like you would normally find at some places. This was not an issue for us though as what they had was good, plus the cookies and popcorn in the afternoon make up for it! Loved this place!
THE BED SMELLED STRONGLY OF PEE.
My family checked in after 10 pm, exhausted from a day of driving. We went to our room and our 7-yr-old noticed a strong smell of pee after putting his head on the bed. We smelled to confirm and there was indeed an offensively strong, unmistakable smell of urine that soaked through the linens to the mattress. We did not feel comfortable staying, unsure of what else we might find so we spoke to someone, unwilling to process a refund who also told us it was impossible that there would be an issue w/ the room (pretty much calling us a liar instead of apologizing and checking what was going on). Terrible customer service. We were offered another room but, at that point, we did not feel comfortable staying and wanted to leave, especially when the staff was unwilling to believe us and were rude and unapologetic.
Today, after calmly pursing a refund for a room that we did not use, I spoke to an employee and was told we were lying about a smell in the room and, in return lied to us about staff offering to check our room to confirm the smell. I do not understand how we would be lying about something like this late at night when we were tired and just wanting to sleep in a clean bed.
When I said I'd be leaving a bad review if they wouldn't make it right, I was told that I would be receiving "BAD KARMA." Crazy.
Also, front desk was a video terminal of a remote worker. They clearly don't care about providing good service.
Avoid this place.

​This is a two-star hotel, but it easily earns 5 stars for the sheer value and unique perks. The "free breakfast" is pretty basic—just cereal, Honey Buns, and Hostess donuts—and there are communal microwaves on each floor rather than in the rooms. However, the extras completely make up for it! They offer awesome features like arcade games (including Pac-Man), free popcorn, and fresh cookies at night.
​The room came stocked with the usual shampoo and soap, but they also thoughtfully provide free sunscreen, plus complimentary razors and combs if you forget yours. The location is unbeatable: a 5-minute walk to the beach and an easy walk to CVS and Wings. Aside from the slightly weird virtual check-in process, this place was an absolute steal for the price. Highly recommend if you want an affordable, fun beach stay!
Wonderful experience staying here. They have lots of cute features such as a palm tree shower outside near the pool, lots of free toys available on the property like connect 4 and cornhole. Friendly and helpful staff, lovely rooms. The only noteworthy thing i would have to say is that there are no elevators, so if you rely upon one, you may have to stay on the first floor. Other than that, I highly recommend this hotel!!
We love staying here! We find great deals booking through their website and it’s always been a great stay. No elevators. But we didn’t mind any time we stayed. Rooms have always been good. Staff is super helpful and friendly. This is where we come as lovers of the OBX from Baltimore
