We only stayed for one night, but it was a great stay! We were able to get there early, and even though the room wasn't ready yet, we were able to hang out by the pool and enjoy the amenities while we waited. ☀️
It was perfect to wake up, grab a coffee downstairs ($2 for coffee if you aren’t a rewards member), and go walk the beach for the sunrise. ☕🌊
The room was nice and the beds were really comfortable with super soft sheets and bedding. The view from the balcony of the ocean and the Kitty Hawk Pier was beautiful. 🌅
We really enjoyed the amenities, especially taking a dip in the pool (which ranges nicely from 3 to 5 feet). To top it all off, the staff were really nice and accommodating throughout our visit.
Great location with beach access and a pier right there. Check in went smoothly. Elevators are quick. Rooms were spacious and they serviced our room all three days we stayed. I thought that was a thing of the past so I was pleasantly surprised. They have a really nice outside seating area. Parking is good although they had no pull thru for trailers. Breakfast is not included in the room.
We stayed in a King Suite and had an overall decent stay. The hotel’s biggest strengths are its excellent beachfront location, within walking distance of many restaurants and attractions. The food was good, and the restaurant staff and beach chair attendants provided outstanding customer service.
There were a few downsides. The pull-out sofa mattress was so uncomfortable our kids couldn’t sleep on it, and the king bed mattress could also use an upgrade. As a hotel, you have to get the bed right! The AC was difficult to regulate—it was either too hot or too cold. The outdoor pool was noticeably murky, and the indoor pool had poor ventilation with such strong chlorine fumes that our eyes burned within minutes.
Customer service was inconsistent. A housekeeper seemed visibly annoyed when I asked for clean towels, which was disappointing. Also, if you have pet allergies, keep in mind this is a pet-friendly hotel with dogs throughout the property.
Overall, it’s a great location with good food and some excellent staff, but the comfort, pool maintenance, and consistency of service could be improved.
We splurged and got a room with the ocean view. It was so nice to be able to see how busy the beach was. We were able to get up early and watch the sunrise from our balcony. There are two chairs and a table. The room is a basic hotel room, nothing fancy. The shower head is wonderful. Great pressure. There is shampoo, conditioner, and body was in the shower. You can check in with the app and use the app as your key. Make sure to stop by the front desk to grab a parking permit. I was also able to send a text to the front desk to ask for more towels which was nice and convenient. Would definitely stay here again.
Staff checking us in were not the friendliest, however all other staff was great. The pillows are SO thin. Location being right on the beach was great. Room was clean. Whoever remodeled did a terrible job at simple things, like measuring and cutting, but that's just me being picky. Being able to order breakfast online and pick up was great as well. Would stay again!
