We found this little gem after our car broke down in Duck and we were getting service done in Manteo. We were a bit worried about traveling with our little dogs, but this location was perfect and the host reassured us that they were “more than welcome”! The guest room doesn’t share wall with the Owner residence and honestly, I didn’t even see them until our way out (you never know what to expect when renting a place) and the privacy was great. Beds were very comfortable, it was super quiet, and the whole place has unbeatable charm! Also there’s a lot of storage space for suitcases (huge closet!). Manteo is really cute and definitely hope to come back for a day or two of shopping next time we’re in OBX.

O my goodness! This sweet inn met and exceeded all of my and my sister's expectations. It is located in the heart of Manteo. Walking distance to restaurants and pubs. Safe to walk at night and just for a stroll anytime. The Sandpiper suite was where we stayed. It was beautifully appointed with a large bathroom with a tub and shower. There was a large closet and a handy dresser with a mirror. Several windows let in a lot of natural light, but curtains and shades got it dark for uninterrupted sleep on 2 queen sized beds. Our host, Mrs. Beth could not have been nicer, and she was so knowledgeable about everything in the area. Also, we had our own private breezeway with a fireplace and TV. We initially booked one night, but when we saw how nice everything was, and when we met Beth, we quickly booked a 2nd night's stay. We're so glad we did. We really wanted to stay longer, but our schedules didn't allow it. We will definitely be back, though! You absolutely must stay here! Thank you, Beth, for an unforgettable stay!

What a perfect place for a romantic getaway! My husband and I adored the outdoor fireplace, and little extras like fresh baked cookies really made our stay memorable. The service was exceptional, and our room was wonderful. We couldn't have been happier.

What a beautiful place. We came out to Manteo for a friend's wedding, and I found this little gem. The room was beautiful, everything was peaceful and quiet, there was a fire built on the back deck and there were little goodies everywhere. I woke up to the smell of amazing cooking and it felt like i was at grandmas house. There's also 4 or 5 really friendly cats who hang out with you out back which was a huge bonus for me. 😁 the Queen Elizabeth is anchored within walking distance to the facility too with lots of shops and coffee spots. Unfortunately we were only there one night but I'll be happy to make any excuse to stay here again. Amazing.

I very much enjoyed my stay at the Cameron House. I called early due to a scheduling restriction and was helped immensely by the owner. I am so thankful to have had such a warm welcome even prior to my arrival. That only made my experience on-site that much more "elevated." The rooms were spacious and home-like. The decorum was fitting and comfortable without being too bodacious. Every tone and theme kept up the feeling of relaxation so that is much appreciated. Room service was nice. I was FREEZING in my room the entire time. I didn't light the furnace although I should have!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Despite that, I still had quite a wonderful experience and would definitely do it again and recommend to others.
