Harborside lodging and marina moorage right on Ocracoke's Silver Lake
Anchorage Inn & Marina sits on Silver Lake Harbor, the working waterfront at the center of Ocracoke village and the island's anchorage for as long as boats have been putting in here. From the property it's an easy walk to the shops, restaurants, and docks that ring the harbor, which makes it one of the more central bases the village offers.
There's no bridge or road to this island. Most visitors arrive on the free NC ferry from Hatteras village, about an hour across the sound, or one of the longer toll ferries from Cedar Island or Swan Quarter on the mainland, each roughly 2.25 hours. A private plane can also land at the small island airstrip.

This is my place to stay in Ocracoke every year. My experience with the staff is always friendly, helpful, and just nice. I love the laid back vibes! The only issue we had was the doors and we couldn't lock them or they would jam easily which was alittle irritating. Also, no bathroom fans which does not help the humidity in the rooms. Other than that, loved every minute. ❤️

Spent 2 nights in ocracoke on our sailboat at this marina. Craig was super awesome and helped us dock and depart. The showers were clean and there was a nice spot to walk our dog. Can’t wait to come back here!

The room is clean and the mattress is comfortable. The service here is absolutely horrible and so are the pillows!! No one came in to see if we need anything. We are here for 4 nights and the trash cans are over flowing. We have to go to the office and ask for fresh towels and pray they have clean ones. The shower turns cold evey 10 seconds. Eveything in the room feels moist. I've stayed in almost every motel in Ocracoke and had to pick this one because all the others were booked for Memorial Day weekend. Now I know why they had availability. I can't beleive they have no daily room care. Totally unacceptable!

Interesting experience. Bed was great, room was clean. The A/C struggled, Television was a little fuzzy. The exterior of the hotel is a little dated, the rooms are updated and nice. I booked on Expedia. When we show up to the hotel no one is in the office but the is a basket with envelopes that had names and room numbers on them containing our welcome packet and 2 room keys. Great views of the harbor, Island life!

This place is at a perfect spot on the island, but is a little older in style. That being said, it easily met our expectations and the owners and staff are very friendly. I would gladly stay here again if the opportunity arises (hoping it does).
